 Gurning Competition |
We had an idea....
Since the life belt reminded us of the Gurning competitions at the Egremont Crab Fair, we thought we might have a little bit of fun as we look forward to the festival.
Your first opportunity to pull some funny faces was at the Picnic on the Green which took place on the 22nd of June.
It was a very windy day but we took some great photographs. You can see the pictures of your funny faces here on the web site. Now we have added the pictures from the Town Summer Fair.
You are in good company. Remember the story of Dick Whittington and how the bells of London pealed out the message 'Gurn again Dick Whittington' when he was ready to give up. You didn't give up either, you gave us a Gurn.
Amazingly, we took 195 gurning pictures in all!!!
Now that we have all the pictures collected together, you can choose your favourite so we can pick out some winners and give them prizes during the festival week.
