'Life Saver' Christian Festival 2008

November is highlighted by our biennial Christian festival. It gives the whole church family a wide range of opportunities together to obey the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to take the good news to those who do not yet recognise him.

It is a celebration of our God given news about Jesus Christ and an opportunity for anyone to come along and join in the events and learn more about the life saver who died for our sins.

So it is for all who are not yet Christian or who do not know Jesus for themselves. It is for our family members, our friends at our club or the school gate, for our work colleagues and those we travel with.

All of us in the church family are in the front line of this work - praying for, inviting and bringing our friends and colleagues. Ours is the first and most important part of the work. But we are not alone! John Chapman (known as Chappo) will be joining us from Australia.

The theme is 'Life Saver' with the subtitle 'Who Needs One?'. It is all about Jesus and how we can be rescued from death through him.

The Festival is organised by All Saints and St Richard's Churches.

So what's on?

We have organised many exciting and interesting events during this week, soon we will publish an event diary so you can see what's happening. At every event the gospel will be presented in a clear and accessible way.

But the 'Food for Thought' coffee mornings and suppers, held in people's homes are at the heart of the Festival. These are where our guests will have a chance to hear the good news explained simply and ask honest questions with confidence.

And our regular church services on both Sundays will be 'Come & See' events, specifically geared to make visitors welcome.

How can I help?

By praying regularly for 'Food for Thought' events to be arranged and for people to be invited. Be prepared to be the answer to your own prayers! Pray above all for the Lord Jesus to be widely recognised and honoured.

Then there is catering, and stewarding, and many other jobs we have probably not thought of yet. For all of these contact the Church Office on (01892) 652081 or email office@allsaintscrowborough.org to volunteer.

And look out for:

During the festival week, we will be updating the web site with details of what is going on and also our roving reporter will be taking snapshots of the events which we will post here in a picture gallery. Make sure you come back here often to stay up to date with what is happening.
